Alek Speck is the secret weapon of Run Run Run.

Originally from the small hamlet of Rensselaerville, NY, Alek became a multi-instrumentalist when he joined his father’s band, Captain Squeeze and Zydeco Moshers. Vocals and washboard were his main focus, but he also juggled. That’s right…he juggles.

He was asked to design and control the lights for RUN RUN RUN, so he relocated to California. When Rx3 started to write for their latest CD, Alek stepped up to keyboards, and percussion. Now he definitely has his hands full.

Alek enjoys Dredg, 311, Umphrey’s McGee, Phish, the celestial bodies of the Universe, discussing the existence of aliens, designing websites, editing video, bike riding, sleeping in extremely small spaces, chopping wood, seeing the world from a van, Montreal, Quebec and of course juggling! He currently lives in Los Osos, California outside of San Luis Obispo.
